Montgomery County Planning Commission
Working Together . . .
In challenging times, it becomes even more important to work together
efficiently. Our commission staff has a long history of working effectively with
other county departments. Since planning is the core element of many long-term
decision processes, in 2013 we continued to find ways to share our knowledge
and resources with other county departments and agencies. In particular,
our graphic design services have become consistently used by departments
throughout the county, enabling them to communicate more effectively with the
public. Some of the ways that we have assisted other departments include:
• Providing a variety of graphic design services to the departments of
Veterans Affairs, Adult Probation and Parole, Recorder of Deeds,
Behavioral Health/Developmental Disabilities, Aging and Adult Services,
Health, and Assets and Infrastructure (Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites
Division). Our graphics section also provides a variety of design services
for the Commissioners’ Office, District Attorney, and detectives. These
services resulted in the development of professional, appealing public
information products.
• Designing and assisting in landscaping around the
courthouse and other county properties.
• Preparing the NPDES stormwater management
permit application for all county
facilities.
