Montgomery County Planning Commission
2013 Montgomery Awards and Recipients
Five projects received Montgomery Awards during an exciting program held
at Theatre Horizon in Norristown on November 13. The event, attended by
approximately 100 people, featured music by the Norristown Area School
District Jazz Band, welcoming comments from all three county commissioners,
and many well-deserving award winners. The Montgomery Awards recognize
the best in planning and design in Montgomery County. In 2013, the program
was expanded to promote awareness of outstanding design and innovative
planning in our communities by awarding successful land developments,
revitalization efforts, open space enhancements, environmental sustainability,
and transportation improvements. The program acknowledges the high quality
of work and commitment of communities, organizations, professionals, and local
volunteers in contributing to these exceptional projects.
