Melissa Gilbert
Melissa was appointed to fill the
vacancy created by newly elected state
representative Mary Jo Daley. She is a
professor at Temple University and the
interim chair of the Geography and
Urban Studies Program. Melissa is a
leading researcher and expert in feminist
and critical race studies, social action,
and urban geography. She is a resident
of Lower Merion where she serves as a
member of the school board.
Scott Exley
Scott is president of Bursich Associates,
Inc., an engineering and land surveying
company in the Pottstown area. Scott
lives in Pottstown where he is active in
many community organizations.
Roy Rodriguez, Jr.
Roy, who is now a retired computer
services company executive, lives in
Montgomery Township where he has
served on the planning commission and
parks board for many years. Roy is a
passionate historian.
Charles J. Tornetta
Charlie, who has served on the planning
commission board for over 40 years,
established a large and successful real
estate business throughout Montgomery
County and has served the county in
numerous ways as it has grown and
changed over the past several years. He is
a resident of West Norriton Township.

land uses. Marc is chairman of the
Montgomery Bar Association Real Estate
Committee. He was selected by
U.S.
News
as a 2013 and 2014 First Tier “Best
Lawyer” in both Land Use and Zoning
Law and also Litigation – Land Use and
Zoning for the Philadelphia Metropolitan
area; and repeatedly acknowledged by
his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.
Marc has also attained an AV®Preeminent
rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Born
in Brooklyn, Marc is a graduate of the
University of Pennsylvania and the
University of Pennsylvania Law School.
He began his career as law clerk to
President Judge James S. Bowman of the
Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
Dulcie F. Flaharty

Dulcie is well known in the conservation
community through her work preserving
land with the Montgomery County
Lands Trust and the Natural Lands Trust.
She resides in Marlborough Township
amidst some of the most unique natural
areas of the county.
Jill Blumhardt
Jill is a senior project manager at AMEC
Environment & Infrastructure, Inc. She
is a resident of Huntingdon Valley where
she is very active in several community
initiatives and serves on the board of the
Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust.
Rev. John H. West, III
The Reverend John H. West has been
the pastor of the Siloam Baptist Church
of Norristown for over 18 years and
serves the Norristown community in a
variety of ways, including his current
tenure as president of the Greater
Norristown Area Ministerium. Pastor
West lives in East Norriton Township.
Scott Zelov
Scott is a business consultant and
former CEO of a manufacturing
company. He has served as a
commissioner in Lower Merion
Township since 2006 and is active in
various community organizations.
