Central Montco Technical High School, was formerly known as the Center for Technical Studies. Over the last two years the school has witnessed a major renewal initiative that includes a twenty-million dollar renovation to the facility, the purchase of state-of-the-art tools and equipment and an updated curriculum that focuses on high-tech and high-paying careers.
CMTHS serves students from 5 surrounding school districts: Kennedy Kenrick, Lower Merion, Norristown, Plymouth Whitemarsh and Upper Merion. Students have the opportunity to learn using a hands-on approach in an authentic setting. In addition, the school uses a teaching method that allows students to progress at their own rate.
Programs at Central Montco Technical High School are designed for college-bound student as well as those who intend to enter the workforce after graduation. Sixty-five percent of CMTHS students continue their education after high school at some of the finest colleges and technical schools in the country. Many CMTHS programs offer college credit for work done while in high school.

FYI: Plymouth Whitemarsh 9th grade students will visit on November 21st to have a tour of our facility and listen to presentations by the staff. Upper Merion students will be doing the same thing on December 13th.
